Our escort, Donna had made arrangements for a English speaking casino tour in the morning. Getting to the casino posed a problem since the area had been fenced off for a special 75th anniversary Farrari exhibit. The exhibit was between us and the casino. Large burly security persons were not letting anyone in without paying admission fees.  Then a group of elderly no-nonsense Germans arrived who were going to the casino. It was a showdown and soon the gates opened and the senior citizens were allowed to pass through. We immediately joined their group and made our way to the casino.

At the end of our tour we asked if the roulette instruction could be done in English. After a brief lesson, we were given play chips and allowed to wager. I won a gold pass - good for one admission into the casino during my lifetime.
