Lindau

Germany

Neuer Leuchtturm (new lighthouse) built in 1856

Stormy skies during a brief stop in Lindau, a fishing village in Roman times, called for a bowl of warm lentil soup. After warming our stomachs, we wandered through the town on the way back to the bus.

The Catholic church of St. Mary built in 1748-52 has a Rococo interior.

These churches stand side by side in the Market Square.

St. Stephan's church (Protestant) built in 12th century, was remodeled in Baroque style in 1782.
