Augustinerkirche

Many of the churches that we visited could be reached by short hops on the metro or tram.

Votivkirche

We were surprised to find 2 vending machines in the Votivkirche foyer. One was painted in a heaven theme contained holy cards, prayer books & postcards. The other was painted with hell's fires and contained religious DVDs and CDs

Michaelerkirche

Minoritenkirche

Life sized statue is inside Michaelerkirche.

For the price of 1 euro, a floodlight will highlight the details of the large mosiac copy of the Last Supper.

Jesuitenkirche's gaudy interior (left) is filled with carved pews, marble columns, side chapels, gold and ceiling frescoes. No space is left undecorated in this church.

Karlskirche (right) Angel representing the Old Testament. This church was built 1713 after Vienna was delivered from its plague
